FLIGHT
Catania (CTA) is the best and really the only option to reach Siracusa easily (Catania airport is about 40 minutes from Siracusa). If you are coming from the USA you will connect through at least one hub city (Rome, Frankfurt, Zurich, Munich). As of right now flights are a little over $1,000 per person (round trip) from most U.S. cities. We suggest to have the flights booked by January or February at the latest, as availability will get low and prices will increase.
We recommend flying in on Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon, leaving on Saturday or Sunday, unless you want to make a trip out of it and visit everything Siracusa and Sicily has to offer. Note there are limited flight times, and the wedding will end around 1:30am on Friday the 23rd. Please see the Schedule tab for more information on timing of events.
RENTAL CARS
TRANSPORTATION
Rental cars are recommended if you plan on exploring the city or going to the beach. If you decide not to rent a car we do recommend pre-arranging a shuttle between the airport and your lodging. Siracusa is a little less than an hour from Catania. Siracusa’s historic center, Ortigia, is very walkable, but for anything outside of it you will need transportation. We will connect you with shuttle services to the venue the day of the wedding. Please note that Uber is NOT available within the area.
If you would like to rent a car, the Catania Airport (CTA) has many vendors available including Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Budget, and more.
AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE

Shuttle services provide a more private transportation between the Catania Airport and your specific hotel. If you are planning to travel within a group (more affordable to split the cost), you can reach out to companies like Ziccone Autonoleggi. Taxis from Catania Airport to Siracusa can charge approximately €100/€120.
